Service Technician |
Millwright Apprentice
Service Technicians at Oro Design & Manufacturing Ltd. are tasked troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues on truck bodies and related equipment. In addition, Service Technicians will also work on new equipment installs and tear-down/re-build jobs. An ideal candidate will have a strong problem solving ability, good customer relation skills, and the ability to work excel in a time-sensitive environment.

Mechanical Engineer
The mechanical engineer contract position with ORO Design & Manufacturing Ltd. is tasked with supporting the development of new products for the mobile equipment market, working on all stages from concept to design to documentation and finally to production. Drawing on extensive experience in mechanical design and fluid power, they will focus on design, drafting, and structural analysis (FEA) using Autodesk Inventor and Nastran. The ideal candidate will also have a solid understanding of all aspects of metal fabricating and assembly processes as well as how to optimize their designs for efficient production. This is a 12 month contract with the potential to extend for an additional 12 months.

Assembly Technician
Assembly Technicians at Oro Design & Manufacturing Ltd. are tasked with mechanical and hydraulic assembly of custom service bodies. Primary duties include building sub-assemblies, installing assemblies on bodies, as well as installing and troubleshooting hydraulic systems. An ideal candidate will have a keen attention to detail, excellent interpersonal skills, and a desire to constantly learn and improve.

Welder/Fitter
Welder/Fitters at ORO Design & Manufacturing Ltd. are tasked with fitting and welding service bodies, frames, tanks, and other large assemblies for use in truck-mounted applications. Welding of steel and aluminum parts in all positions is a regular part of our everyday work. Welder/fitters are responsible for ensuring correct welding machine settings, monitoring product quality, and working with other welders to solve problems and improve processes. Our shop is CWB Certified and preference will be given to applicants that hold CWB tickets for all position FCAW welding.

Brake Press Operator
Brake Press Operators at ORO Design & Manufacturing Ltd. are tasked with setting up and operating a CNC brake press and performing various operations on sheet metal. You'll be required to read and interpret blueprints and drawings and load and unload material with the assistance of an overhead crane. You will also need to be able to set up, align and adjust punches and dies and maintain proper tolerances.

Industrial Painter With Automotive Experience
Industrial Painters at ORO Design & Manufacturing Ltd. are tasked with applying coatings to steel and aluminum components using various spray methods and to prepare components for coatings using various preparation methods. They are also required to mix coatings, and mask appropriate areas and to follow work instructions and quality control processes.
Industrial Painter required for a second shift. Shift premium of $1.00/hr applies.


Machinist
Machinists at ORO Design & Manufacturing Ltd. work on set up and operation of NC mills, lathes, NC horizontal boring mill and CNC lathe to produce both one-off and repeat products to support production of our custom truck bodies and other specialized equipment such as underground drills. Knowledge and experience with programming CNC lathe is a must.

The Painter performs paint related activities within the established guidelines and assigned areas. He/she obtains a list of the jobs which need to be painted according to a predetermined schedule. Oro Design is committed to providing a balance between working hours and personal time.
